Rewind App
Having been a music producer for six years, I wanted to create an app for iOS that was a reliable way for producers to be able to listen and store their music on their phone and provide a means to allow them to share clips on social media with graphics that justify their creations. I found an opportunity to design and conceptualize my rendition of how this app would look in a media management course. Here is an brief introduction to my app idea “Rewind,” as well as some UX/UI Design images I made in Figma.

This was a feature I incorporated called “collection color” allowing users to have control over how they wanted the cassette to look for their individual file. It also puts those files in color-coded playlists.

Entertainment Blogs
I had a Writing and Designing for the Media course where one of the course requirements was creating a blog and writing content for the whole semester. Being so passionate about entertainment, my blog centered around reviews and talking points about different popular media. Here are a few of the featured blogs:

August Album Anniversary: P3
Hi everyone! Now that August has come to an end, I thought I would share one of my favorite August music releases “PARTYNEXTDOOR 3.” PARTYNEXTDOOR released his 3rd and final project of his self-titled trilogy on August 12, 2016

Advertisements/Designs
These are a select few of the graphics I have done for courses involving graphic design. The first two feature ads I made for Dewey’s Pizza. These were made when COVID-19 just started, but they are still relevant to today’s advertising. The last two are a before and after of one of my favorite restaurants in Edwardsville, Mr. Curry’s India Restaurant. On the left is his original menu, and on the right is a redesign I did for my Writing and Designing for the Media course.

Advanced Audio Production Assignments
A Bad Dream Assignment
For this Advanced Audio Production assignment, I was given a large folder of cinematic sound effects and field recordings. The assignment was to put together sounds to create a “bad dream” based off of a script and monologue the professor provided us. I used Ableton Live 10 to make this work.
There is explicit language in this clip.
Recording Student Saxophone Player
For this Advanced Audio Production assignment, my partner Marissa and I were teamed up with a music student and tasked with recording them. The objective was to record a clean signal, and make them sound as if they were in a music hall in post-production. We used Adobe Audition for this assignment.
About Me
Initially, I started music production in high school which instilled a passion for audio in me. I quickly realized that being a music producer required proper marketing if I wanted to see success, so I began to explore photography, graphic design, and social media networking to establish myself in the music scene. While my production has garnered hundreds of thousands of streams across different platforms, I realized my true passion was design. I found delight in combining writing with captivating design just as I learned to do with combining drums and melodies in making music.
Notable Achievements:
- Graduated magna cum laude with a 3.97 GPA from SIUE
- Produced music for artist Alaina Castillo amassing over half a million views on YouTube
- Designed and branded a file storage and music player app called Rewind along with detailed case study and research for development
- Budgeted and built a podcast setup for a local law firm and eventually produced and edited material
